On October 11, 2023, PainWorth was recognized with the Impact Award as part of the 2023 Start Alberta Tech Awards. The Impact Award recognizes a tech company or organization committed to ESG standards, or through their products and services assists other companies or society, in general, to make improvements in one or more areas of Environment, Social (diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging) or Governance.
PainWorth is the world’s first fully automated app that uses data science and AI to help people settle injury claims faster and more accurately without having to hire a lawyer.
PainWorth was started as a passion project to help other people pursue their own personal injury claims. In 2019, PainWorth co-founder Mike Zouhri was injured by a drunk driver. Later that year, the team at PainWorth set out to fix the fundamental problems they saw with how the insurance industry, personal injury lawyers, and personal injury victims interacted.
PainWorth helps determine and justify a potentially fair value for injury claims. The service is 100% free for claimants right now. It is best suited for claims up to $100,000.
“It’s a huge affirmation that the work that we’re doing is important. We’ve been able to help over 2,000 people figure out what their settlements are worth without having to hire an expensive lawyer,” explains Chris Trudel, Co-Founder. “What’s next for PainWorth is helping more accident victims, not just in Canada but the United States as well.”
