Methodology
This report draws on two primary data sources. Alberta-specific company and investment data is powered by the Start Alberta platform, aggregated through proprietary harvesting software and direct user submissions from founders and investors, and verified through a manual curation process. For national benchmarking and inter-provincial comparisons, the report uses the Dealroom dataset. All data was extracted in February 2026 and reflects a snapshot of verified records at time of publication.
