As COVID-19 concerns and gathering restrictions remain in place, the planned in-person events on November 9 for AccelerateAB and the Start Alberta Tech Awards have been adjusted.
In place of an in-person event at the Edmonton Convention Centre, the Start Alberta Tech Award winners will be announced individually over an 11-day period between November 8-22.
Plans for the AccelerateAB Roundtables and Backstage events have also shifted:
- The Roundtables will be moved to a virtual format, still taking place on the morning of November 9, 2021.
- AccelerateAB Backstage will be moved to Spring 2022 when the work-from-home mandate has been lifted and there is a greater comfort level with in-person events.
The decision to shift plans is based on current available data and the fact that COVID-19 remains a top health concern in Alberta. We’re disappointed we won’t see you in person this year, but public health and safety holds firm as our top priority.
